A week prior in this very space, I mentioned the pain of the college football Saturday loss. There's nothing quite like it, due to the increased importance/relevance of the regular season. It certainly burns you deep until, well, it happens again. The fine fans from the University of Texas unfortunately now know all too well what many of us did a week back. Proud SMU Mustang alums too are probably hoping pro football can't get here fast enough. Rice? Well let's just not even mention it. For the rest of us, football probably gave into a nice little Saturday evening, and that probably led to a less nice Sunday morning. But alas, here we are. Football is almost with us again. The Texans may be off, but that doesn't mean we can't fight the weekend's escape with all our might, have a few with friends, and do Sunday right. Here's the battle plan:
