Two weeks away from the end of the season and one of the best high school football matchups of the year. The Katy Tigers, ranked No. 2 in the state, are currently undefeated. Cinco Ranch, ranked No. 6, is also undefeated as both teams clinched playoff spots from District 19-5A last weekend.
↵Katy has to beat Taylor this week to hold up its side of the undefeated showdown while Cinco Ranch needs to beat 1-7 Morton Ranch to keep the fight fair. If all goes according to plan this Friday, the last week of the season will feature these two teams playing for the 19-5A title in what could be a preview of the best of the Class 5A playoffs.
