Occasionally life conspires against us. Case in point? Those University of Texas backers who watched their team fight an uphill battle against a superior foe but still nearly capitalize on enough good fortune (and timely execution in their own right to be fair) to almost steal a game. Another example? Trying to publish a listing of sports to watch on the final day of baseball's regular season and having your internet sputter to a crawl. Pretty unchill, universe. But hey, you can't have the sweet without the sour. And while baseball's 2010 season has been pretty darn sour for Astros fans, hope springs eternal for 2011. Even just as a fan of sports, it's sort of hard not to get amped up for the post season. Choose a secondary rooting allegiance and dig in folks. October is the only time all the major sports in this country are in full stride at the same time. May as well enjoy it.
