I don't live in Houston anymore, and thus, I don't have FS Houston. I have FS Midwest, which serves me a ton of good when I'm trying to watch the Rockets or Astros. Those of you who are DISH users, as you may have already learned, are about to feel the same way for the time being.
↵DISH Network dropped FOX Sports at midnight on September 30. We're going to quote the press release on this one.
↵↵↵"Fox has been trying for months to reach a fair agreement, but Dish refuses to play ball," said FOX Sports Houston spokesman Ramon Alvarez. "Our programming is among the most valuable Dish offers, and we're simply looking for a fair deal."
↵
Talk about horrendous timing. Basically, DISH users, you're at risk for missing the start of the Houston Rockets' season, as well as miscellaneous Big 12 football games. Per Mr. Alvarez, if you go to www.getwhatipaidfor.com, you can find out more information regarding the matter. Perhaps they'll have some solutions for you.
↵In the meantime, all ATT U-Verse or Comcast users should be giving themselves a pat on the back.
