Week Nine NFL Picks For Texans Vs. Chargers: Keep Your Head Above Water

Coming off an extremely demoralizing 30-17 loss in Indianapolis, the Texans (4-3) will face the Chargers (3-5) in a game that Tim of Battle Red Blog says is a must for "the Texans' season, and Gary Kubiak's future as head coach." No pressure guys!

The Chargers, who are a statistical juggernaut on both offense and defense (although terrible on special teams) but come in two games under .500, nevertheless are still in contention thanks to the sorry state of the AFC West. They'll need this game just as much as the Texans do. The Texans on the other hand, are in danger of dropping to .500 with an extremely difficult schedule still on deck between the Steelers, Ravens, Jets, and Eagles. Not to mention the Titans twice. Oh, and the Titans just added Randy Moss too. Things keep getting better!

It'll be an early game on CBS, 12 PM CT, and your usual suspects will pick up the radio: Sports Radio 610 AM, 100.3 KILT FM and La Tremenda 1010 AM if you prefer Spanish.

The expert picks have not entirely rolled in, but between the experts of ESPNCBS, and Yahoo!, six of the seven are taking San Diego so far. Yikes.

The Texans are getting 1.5 points as a home dog.
