What's On Television Today: December 17th, 2010

I don't think this was quite what the Rockets had in mind.

Don't get me wrong, they probably went into the season not relying on Yao Ming to do anything for them. They had hopes, but no expectations.

No, I'm talking about tonight's game with Memphis. Social media night. I'm sure this was EXACTLY the kind of news they wanted to break on social media night. Which, by the way, you can attend fairly cheaply and get an autograph session with Kyle Lowry too. Just check out the Rockets Twitter for details.

Hakeem Olajuwon
Memphis Grizzlies @ Houston Rockets -- Fox Sports Houston, 7:30 PM -- The battle for fourth place continues!
Miami Heat @ New York Knicks -- ESPN, 6 PM -- Part II of ESPN's attempt to create rivalries for the Knicks by building up every game they play with unimaginable hype.

Yao Ming
Phoenix Suns @ Dallas Mavericks -- ESPN, 8:30 PM -- Unlike the Knicks thing, I think ESPN just stayed in Dallas overnight because they're lazy.
College Basketball -- Arizona St. Sun Devils @ Nevada Wolf Pack -- ESPNU, 8 PM -- See if the Sun Devils have as much of a struggle against Nevada as UH did.

Zan Tabak
Detroit Red Wings @ Chicago Blackhawks -- NHL Network, 7:30 PM -- Marian Hossa is out, so be sure to not start him if you are one of the 8 Houstonians who plays in an NHL fantasy league.
Bundesliga -- Borussia Monchengladbach vs. Hamburg SV -- ESPN3.com, 1:30 PM -- Confession: I totally copy/pasted this matchup from ESPN3's website because I do not want to try to spell Borussia Monchengladbach on my own.
