Cougars Wrap Up Non-Conference Slate With Rogers State

The Division II Rogers State HillCats come to town to finish off Houston's pre-CUSA schedule today, and they bring a 5-8 club to town to deal with the 7-5 Cougars. Rogers State has just one player from Texas: guard Deveric Taylor, from Dallas.

This should be a pretty clean-cut affair for the Coogs. Rogers State lost convincingly to TCU and Oral Roberts, the other two Division I teams they've played this season. Look for the Houston Cougars to muscle the HillCats around on defense and feed the ball to their three best scorers: Maurice McNeill, Kendrick Washington, and Adam Brown

The game is at Hofheinz Pavillion and starts at 6 PM. No prediction on this one, mainly because if the Cougars lose to a Division II school at home this year, my brain will explode in a cascade of James Dickey era jokes.
