I Bet Obama Won't Vote For Luke Scott In The 2011 All-Star Game

You remember Luke Scott, right? You know, Luuuuuuuuuuke Scott. The guy we sent packing for Miguel Tejada? Yeah. That guy.

↵

Well, outside of his cycle in 2007 and his 2010 Most Valuable Oriole award, the former Astro hasn't done much in the majors. Although the latter of the two acheivements sounds kind of cool.

↵

Pause. Wait for it...

↵

Naaaaaht.

↵

Anyways, Scott graced the Winter Meetings with his presence this year, and was kind enough to interview with David Brown of Yahoo! Big League Stew.

↵

Scott proceed to, well, say the following:

↵

↵

↵
↵

"[Obama] was not born here...That's my belief. I was born here. If someone accuses me of not being born here, I can go - within 10 minutes - to my filing cabinet and I can pick up my real birth certificate and I can go, 'See? Look! Here it is. Here it is.' The man has dodged everything. He dodges questions, he doesn't answer anything."

↵
↵

That's a ballsy statement, my friend. Not that Obama is dodging "everything" or any of that hoplah. I'm fine with that. This is Amuurica, and we're free to say whatever we want about the president.

↵

But it's kind of hard to negate a fact. For instance, I can't say that Luke Scott isn't a career .268 hitter. And I can't say that he didn't attend Indian River Community College.

↵

I can say, however, that Luke Scott is wrong.
