(New to SB Nation Houston? Click here to be enlightened.)
↵Much like the Silverdome in Detroit, our former football home that hosted quite a few memorable moments of sports history is sitting there mostly untouched, like the lumpy potatoes your grandma used to make.
↵Mark Berman over at My Fox Houston has a post up looking at some debate over the dome’s future that will be occurring on Monday:
↵↵↵Sources with knowledge of the process told FOX 26 Sports Wednesday three options for the future of the Reliant Astrodome will be presented at the news conference.
↵1) Tear it down
↵2) Turn the building into a planetarium which will include a floor at street level. Currently the floor is 32 feet below that.
↵3) Turn the building into a planetarium and include an institute for Science, Technology, Education and Mathematics or STEM.
↵
I guess that beats selling it for $583,000.
