A&M, OU Will Stick With Texas, Remain In Big 12

Texas A&M will remain in the Big 12, thus putting to an end the series of discussions between the Aggies and the SEC. Oklahoma will be staying as well. Oklahoma President David Boren released a statement regarding the Sooners’ decision to stay.

“The decision to stay in the Big 12 represents a consensus position which resulted from a collaborative effort with our colleagues in the conference. We value the strong working relationship that has been reaffirmed during this process among the conference members. We intend to work very hard to make the conference as lasting and dynamic as possible. We appreciate the respect and interest that has been shown to OU during this process.”

Well… as a Mizzou fan and student, I can’t say enough about how terrible this process could have been for Missouri, among others. It’s a good thing that this all got resolved.
