Yes, I'm aware I quoted Happy Gilmore. But for good reason.
↵Bruce Chen needs to stop playing baseball. It's not that he's bad. He has a career 4.7 ERA and his BAA is .266; that's decent. In fact, this year he's sporting a 4.15 ERA.
↵The case of Bruce Chen is a curious one, as he's never been able to stick to one team.
↵In 12 years in the majors, Chen has played for 10 teams. Yup. Braves, Phillies, Mets, Expos, Reds, Red Sox, Astros, Orioles, Rangers, and now ... the Royals.
↵Minus the Marlins, he played for every NL East team. Back to back to back to back.
↵Bruce is kind of like, well, I'm not going to name names, but that girl that won't leave the frat house. She just sulks there, waiting and waiting.
↵Eventually, another GM, like another frat star, will look at Bruce and drunkily say, "Hey, why not..."
↵Bruce, go home. Please.
