Wait, Ed Wade May Have Been Right?

Hear me out. Let's look at the Astros projected bullpen going into this season:

Matt Lindstrom - Possibly injured

Chris Sampson - Injured

↵

Sammy Gervacio - Injured and in minors

↵

Jeff Fulchino - Probably injured

↵

Brian Moehler - In the rotation

↵

Alberto Arias - Out for season

↵

Tim Byrdak - Has been injured

That's right. Brandon Lyon has been the Astros most reliable reliever in 2010. No wonder Wade signed him for the next three seasons. With all the turnover in the bullpen lately, the Astros need as many solid players as possible. While Lyon probably was too expensive at five million per year, at least he's not hurt.

Of course, Wilton Lopez and Gustavo Chacin have been just as valuable additions, and they didn't cost 15 million to sign. Still, give Wade credit. Someone? Anyone want to give him some credit? No? I guess I tried...
