Steph Stradley has video of an interview with Texans defensive coordinator Frank Bush at All Access. She also helpfully transcribes for those of us who aren’t in a youtube friendly place at work:
↵↵↵2:40 What the game plan is without Brian Cushing for the first four games. Remarkably, he did not mention prayer.
↵3:35 On Dunta Robinson’s exit and having a youthful secondary
↵4:35 On whether the lack of experience in the secondary concerns him. Says he likes experienced guys who know how to play but likes the guys he has. Remarkably, he did not mention prayer.

The one thing Steph didn’t touch on that I was intrigued by was the mention by Bush of how an “aggressive defense” doesn’t necessarily need to be blitzing. As someone who has survived the Richard Smith era and has the mental scars to prove it, let me just say that yes, the Texans do need to blitz and be aggressive. And yes, they do need to do it often. And better than they did last year, if they want to make the playoffs.
