Can Delino DeShields Jr. Become The Next Brian Hunter?

No, I don’t mean “can he be so limited to a MLB team that he winds up being a pinch-runner,” although that could happen too. The question is: can he climb the top of the mountain and stand alone as the Astros #1 Baseball America prospect?

Which is sort of a round about way of saying that I was having an argument with a friend about the merits of the Baltimore Orioles top prospects all being flops and found that The Baseball Cube now keeps a handy list of all Baseball America’s Top 10 Prospects Lists back through 1992 for each team.

You can find the Astros list here. You will now remember that something named Tony McKnight was once a top prospect. Carry on.
