It appears the Houston Dynamo could be set to make a move for Ghanaian international Anthony Obodai.  Reports suggest that the 27 year-old midfielder, who plays club soccer for RKC Waalwijk in the Dutch Eredivisie, is in Laredo, Texas with the Dynamo for inaugural Ryan-Sanders Shootout, where they will face PDL-squad the Laredo Heat on Thursday evening.

Dutch news reports from earlier this year suggested Obodai was the target of MLS-sides the Kansas City Wizards and Houston Dynamo.  The midfielder did not feature much this past season for RKC Waalwijk and indicated that he was interested in trying his luck elsewhere.

While Obodai began his professional career in Ghana, the majority of it has been spent playing in Holland, where he moved in 2001.

If Obodai signs with the Dynamo he would be the third player from Ghana on the roster (the other two being Samuel Appiah and Dominic Oduro). and could help bring some veteran stability to a struggling Dynamo midfield.

The MLS summer transfer window is open from July 15 through August 14, 2010.
