Report: Oliver Luck Set To Leave Dynamo, Become West Virginia AD

Mark Berman of My Fox Houston is reporting that Houston Dynamo president and general manager Oliver Luck has agreed to become the next athletics director at West Virginia.

FOX 26 Sports has learned Oliver Luck will leave his position as President and general manager of the Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer to become the next athletics director at his alma mater, West Virgina.

Luck currently serves on the WVU board of directors. He was a star football player for the Mountaineers and has obvious ties to the university and to the area.

Luck took over the Dynamo once they moved to Houston in 2005 and has done a stellar job since. The franchise has won two championships during his tenure, and is set to move into a new stadium within the next few years, a campaign that Luck influenced heavily.

Berman goes on to state that Luck will remain with the franchise until the end of the season, primarily to keep tabs on the construction of the new stadium.
