Finally, with a little help from Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Times, we’ve been made aware: if you want to find out what Trevor Ariza is really thinking, just ask boxer Andre Berto.
↵Berto recently had lunch with Ariza and told the Times that he senses the former Laker “missed his old stomping grounds.” Cue Chris Connelly and a violin.
↵↵↵“He’s handling it,” Berto said when I asked him if he had a sense on how Ariza felt about going to Houston and missing out on a second championship ring. “I don’t know if he felt it was his best decision, but he’s handling the situation.”
↵
Completely necessary. Every bit of it. Not much going on in Lakerville right now? Let’s see if Ariza wishes he could have gotten a ring!
↵Don’t make a big deal out of this, Rockets fans. Obviously, Ariza had a tough time last season, but once he falls back into his natural position, things should pick up for him.
↵In the meantime, continue to ignore Andre Berto, since few of us really know who that guy is.
