The Rockets are stacking their frontcourt for the upcoming season. Here's what you need to know about how each will fit in.
↵C Yao Ming: Self-explanatory. Eat at Yao's to reinforce your belief in his greatness.
↵PF Luis Scola: Crafty, hard working big body who lacks flash but is a staple of consistency. Also speaks in languages that may confuse the defense.
↵C Brad Miller: Tall, beard.
↵PF Jared Jeffries: Jeffries does all of the extra little things. Yes, there are the common "little things" that a guy like Shane Battier does that don't show up in a box score. Then, there are the "extra little things" that Jeffries manages to accomplish. We're still not sure what those things are... but Jeffries will do them!
↵PF Jordan Hill: Rebounds and defense and fast legs and athleticism and dreadlocks and offensive rebounds and quickness and hopefully he finishes in the paint.
↵PF Patrick Patterson: An energetic, versatile option who should help the Rockets on the offensive end without leaving too much to be desired on defense. Less intense/bouncy version of Carl Landry, but further along in his game.
↵C David Andersen: Need an automatic two points? His turnaround is money. Need anything else? Good luck with that.
↵C? Chuck Hayes: Let's say that Yao is in foul trouble and we need a defensive stop. This is Hayes' moment. With the added depth, he may not see many other moments.
