We last checked in with longtime Texans G Chester Pitts when I was projecting doom and gloom, in double barrels, when he couldn't make his original workout date. 20 days later, Pitts is ready to try and land a job for this season by giving it a go for NFL teams today:
↵↵↵Pitts, a longtime starter for the Houston Texans, is one of the few in-demand free agents still available. He started every game for the Texans from his rookie season in 2002 through 2008. Pitts played in just two games last season before undergoing the surgery.

Here's hoping for the best for Pitts, but early returns have not looked good. The 49ers are reported to have lost interest, as well as the Eagles, and the Vikings. Perhaps he'll be an injury fallback for some team now if he can't get signed right after the workout?
↵EDIT: Jason La Canfora of NFL.com reports that only two teams watched the workout, and two more have scheduled visits with Pitts for next week. That's not a pretty number, but it still just takes one team to say yes.
↵EDIT TWO: La Canfora now has a source reporting that the two teams who frequented the workout were the Colts and the Steelers. Interesting.
