Our well-connected leader in Operation Find Pitts A Team, NFL.com's Jason La Canfora, reports that Pitts will be meeting with teams all this week up until training camp. It remains to be seen if a deal will be worked out, but at least the interested parties will get a chance to see Pitts play:
↵↵↵Pitts' itinerary this week includes stops in Pittsburgh, Seattle and Denver, the source told La Canfora.
↵The Buffalo Bills played host to Pitts at their facility Monday, according to the team's official Web site.
↵
To put on my speculation cap for the second day in a row, I think Seattle and Denver are doing this out of respect. The Seahawks signed Ben Hamilton and the Broncos drafted several young offensive linemen in the past two years.
↵The Steelers seem like a logical fit with their line problems, as does Buffalo. But I just can't get over how close La Canfora is to this situation. And how he always repeats that Pitts is an "in-demand" free agent. Call me crazy, but there's something fishy about the story. I hope I'm wrong and Pitts finds a home this week, but I'm still not so sure.
