Pitts Lands In Seattle

Franchise stalwart Chester Pitts will, in fact, land in Seattle and sign a 1 year/$2 million dollar deal, as first reported by Adam Schefter on Twitter.

Pitts had spent his entire pro career with the Houston Texans. The southern California native was a San Diego State product and Houston's second-round pick in 2002.

He's started 114 games since breaking into the league eight years ago with the Texans.

We'll miss Chester here in Houston, as he is a long-time Texan and terrific in both the community and the media. We wish him all the best in Seattle with former Texan offensive line coach Alex Gibbs. Here's hoping he starts up there.

This would be the perfect time to remind everyone that I wasn't sure if Pitts was going to find a team and that I eliminated the Seahawks from consideration Tuesday.  I will now demean myself in the "promote beyond the community" box. On the bright side, I do smell really good today, so at least I have that going for me.
