Major League Baseball’s trade deadline came in went with both pitchers Brett Myers and Wandy Rodriguez ultimately staying put with the Astros. While details are presently unavailable, it’s being reported that the team plans to formally announce that they will be exercising Brett Myers 2011 option, in essence making him the team’s front of the rotation starter. Astros Senior Director of Social Media Alyson Footer insinuated Saturday evening that additional years and money may be part of the package as well:
