Finally, Aubrey Coleman Has A Taker

New, 2 comments

You’d think that that former Houston Cougars star Aubrey Coleman would have been picked up by an NBA club immediately following his senior season. It wasn’t as if the nation’s leading scorer from a year ago played for a division three school or for a shady mid-major. C-USA was no slouch in 2010.

That is, except when they tried to guard Coleman, who averaged a shade under 26 points per game.

11 Sports has learned that former University of Houston guard Aubrey Coleman has been picked up by the New Orleans Hornets and will be making his summer league debut on Friday in Las Vegas.

New Orleans has made its living off under-appreciated guards lately, having turned late picks Darren Collison and Marcus Thornton into rookie of the year candidates this past season. Hopefully Coleman will have a chance to make an impact. We’re all quite aware of how talented he is.
