Dynamo Midfielder Francisco Navas Cobo Called Up To United States U-20 National Team

Houston Dynamo midfielder and Dynamo Academy product Francisco Navas Cobo has been named to the United States Under-20 national team's roster for an upcoming four-team tournament in Peru.

Navas Cobo last played for the U.S. U-20 squad in July when he was a part of the team that won the prestigious Milk Cup in Northern Ireland. The midfielder is one of 20 players, all from professional clubs, named to the roster for the tournament.

The tournament runs from September 1 - 12, meaning Navas Cobo is expected to miss Houston's games on September 5 (vs. San Jose) and September 11 (at Kansas City). The U.S. squad will play games in Arequipa, Peru, and will face Paraguay (Sept. 6), Colombia (Sept. 8) and Peru (Sept. 10). The championship and consolation games will take place on Sept. 12.

The 18-year-old midfielder has made three appearances for the Dynamo and four international appearances for the United States U-20 national team in 2010
