Pearland L.L. Advances To U.S. Championship Game; Does '02 Bellaire L.L. Team Feeling Unwanted?

First off, Bellaire Little League lost in the finals. People seem to forget that.

↵

However, nobody really cares nor remembers that part of the story. That's because Bellaire advanced farther than any Houston-area team since 1966, when Westbury Little League (gotta rep my childhood) won the tournament.

↵

Pearland has a very good shot to actually win the title, as they prepare for the U.S. Championship game. They will find out if they play Waipahu, Hawaii or Columbus, Georgia after their game at 1:00 P.M CST.

↵

But my question doesn't concern the Pearland team; is the Bellaire Little League team feeling a little unwanted?

↵

After all, all they have to reminisce on their glory days is a poster at Jax Grill and a stamp on the Bellaire water tower. Oh, Skeeters and a couple other restaurants may have those old newspaper clippings pinned up. But that's about it.

↵

Either way, all of Houston should be backing this Pearland team. We certainly don't have a professional team to back at this point.

↵

No matter what happens though, this team will be remembered regardless of the final score.
