August signals widespread boredom for NBA fans, as literally nothing is going on. To fill space, the NBA will be announcing its first week of games as well as its Christmas and Martin Luther King Day games this afternoon. Not the whole schedule, mind you. Just a little of it. The entire schedule will be announced next Tuesday.
↵↵↵NBA TV will be televising the event (*sigh*) in a little diddy called 'Tip-Off '10," which is scheduled to air at 6 p.m. CST. The Rockets received one nationally televised game last season, likely due to the absence of Yao Ming. I think the Clippers got about eight games without Blake Griffin, but that's beside the point. This year, we should be seeing plenty more Rockets games on TNT, ESPN or ABC.
↵Yup, that's it. Just wanted to give you the heads up. Ladies and gentlemen: August.
