Perhaps, in the stats alone, Kyle Lowry was slightly overpaid when the Rockets matched the $24 million offer that he received from the Cleveland Cavaliers this offseason. Then again, if you watch the games, you'll know how valuable Lowry is to the Rockets' second unit and how his play makes everyone around him better. Watching Lowry is like watching a Paul Thomas Anderson movie: you need to pay attention to everything in order to fully understand its worth.
↵And then, if you look even further into why the Rockets were so eager to match the offer, you'll find indicators like this:
↵↵The Rockets like good people. They like hard workers. They've always been known as 'scrappy' and overachieving and such, but to get to the core of it, they simply know how to find people who will work their butt off for the betterment of the team. The more I keep hearing about Lowry this offseason, the more excited I get for 2010-11.
