DIY Dreams Do Come True: What's On Television Sunday, August 8

Have you ever decided to make popcorn but first thought, "hmm.. Why follow the instructions on the bag when I could dump the kernels into a non-descript brown paper bag *BEFORE* I microwave it?" I know, right? Me neither. However, if for whatever bizarre reason you had, odds are, the internet is the place for you.

If feeling self righteous about your ingenuity, spunk, and likeness to Richard Dean Anderson's most seminal character are the kind of things that get you up in the morning, there's a good chance there's a certain do-it-yourself web portal (or two) out there that will help you embrace, well, your inner you. Who am I to hate? I like reading 800+ words on college and pro football. Again, who am I to knock your hustle? Some of us want to spend the early part of our Sunday afternoons after we shake off the cobwebs or get back from church mowing the lawn with a traditional, efficient modern lawnmower. But if you ever wanted to try doing it with a weed whacker rigged up only using dental floss (or maybe a jailbroken iPhone), there exists a strong possibility there's a step-by-step DIY article out there outlining precisely how this needs to be accomplished. But then again that's what makes the internet such a magical party. There's a little something for everyone and everybody's invited.

I hear there are some good sports on today though. And frankly, I enjoy watching those kind of things. However, If you can figure out a way to multi-task and get your 'sports' on with the rest of us, here's step one in a surprisingly non-technical guide to enjoying your Sunday:
