Myers, 'Stros Take Rubber Game 4-3

Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Humberto Quintero had a two-run single to help back seven shutout innings from Brett Myers, as the Houston Astros held on for a 4-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds in the finale of a three-game series at Minute Maid Park.

Chris Johnson hit a solo homer, doubled and scored twice for Houston, which has won five of seven.

Myers (13-7) won his fifth straight decision and extend his record run to 31 starts of at least six innings pitched to begin a season.

Cincinnati's loss, combined with St. Louis' win over San Diego, left the Reds six games ahead of the Cardinalsin the NL Central.
