Bullpen Can't Support Happ's Performance, Astros Lose 8-4

Washington, DC (Sports Network) – Ivan Rodriguez hit a game-tying two-run homer as part of a seven-run eighth inning, as the Washington Nationals rallied for a 8-4 win over the Houston Astros in the second of a four-game set.

Adam Kennedy added a pinch-hit RBI single in the eighth while Ryan Zimmerman had two hits and an RBI for the Nationals, who snapped a four-game slide. Tyler Clippard (10-6) picked up the win for throwing a scoreless top of the eighth for Washington, which had dropped 10 of 12 entering the contest.

Jason Michaels had a two-run homer and Chris Johnson added a solo shot as part of a three-hit effort for Houston, which had won six of eight coming in.
