↵We're a week late, since most teams opened play in Week Zero last Friday, but let's break down one of the most interesting matchups around the area:
↵The Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes will take on The Woodlands Highlanders this week in a much-anticipated matchup. TWHS is ranked fifth in this week's Harris Ratings while Hightower is at No. 43. Hightower ekes past Eisenhower last week, winning 44-39 while The Woodlands crushed Monterrey, Mexico's Prepa Tech 44-7.
↵Hightower will feature a 5-foot-10, 195 pound senior running back named John Parrham and a player who was made to play for the Hurricanes. Chayse Hightower is a senior standout on the offensive line for Hightower.
↵The Woodlands has their own blazer at running back in Daniel Lasco. The 6-foot-1 senior runs a 4.3 40-yard dash and is a four-star prospect acccording to Rivals who has committed to Cal. He's the 18th-ranked running back in the country and the 34th-best prospect in the state of Texas.
↵This will be an interesting matchup for both teams. Hightower proved it could win in a shootout last week, but will The Woodlands defense give them the chance. For the Highlanders, this is a good test to see if they beat up on an international team who's not that good or whether they're team is for real.
