Nick Scurfield was dropping Twitter knowledge today, clearing up some of the team’s loose ends from the last few days:
- Antoine Caldwell and Mike Brisiel will rotate at right guard. As someone who believes in offensive line continuity, this scares me. But not as much as Wade Smith starting over either of these men does.
Normally when teams run a sixth linemen, they use a tackle. I wonder if there would be some goal line sets where they’d bring on all six of them? That could be an interesting cure. Of course, you might as well just bring on Rashad Butler at that point.
- Gary Kubiak also named Xavier Adibi the starter at outside linebacker. Given the number of plays the Colts make the Texans run in the nickel and the injury-prone nature of Adibi, I would put the over/under at 10 snaps.
- Owen Daniels will play “about 20-25 snaps” in his first game back from ACL surgery. I’m hoping this comes with a heaping dosage of Joel Dreessen helping Duane Brown with Dwight Freeney.
Lastly, check out The Mothership’s compilation of quotes on the new chums joining the squadron. Those quotes about Jamar Wall are pretty exciting news to me.
