Slaton: "I'm Good"

Steve Slaton affirmed that he will be in the lineup on Sunday during his visit to a local fire station:

“I’m good,” he said. “I ran last Friday and Saturday, practiced yesterday (Monday), I’ll practice tomorrow and I’ll be ready to go full-go.”

Incidentally, Slaton suffered a similar toe injury against the Cowboys in the third preseason game of his rookie season in 2008. Two weeks later, he was healthy enough to carry the ball 13 times in Week 1 at Pittsburgh. He wound up with a franchise-record 1,282 rushing yards that season.

I wish I was that optimistic again. Slaton will mostly just take third-down duties this year, and probably shouldn’t be a fantasy league play this week against Indy unless you have a twenty team league that starts three running backs.
