Folks, today is a dead day for sports. There's some college basketball on, but just two NBA games and a smattering of football overseas. I'd recommend the Australian Open if you're going to be watching anything. I'd also say to keep up with the MLS Supplemental Draft, but that's not even on TV. Follow us on Twitter (or @dynamotheory) and we'll try to keep you updated on that.
Local
None.
NBA
Atlanta Hawks @ Miami Heat -- NBA TV, 6:30 PM -- This should be a pretty decent playoff preview if LeBron James actually plays. If not, it's probably irrelevant.
NCAA Basketball
Michigan St. Spartans @ Illinois Fighting Illini -- ESPN, 6 PM -- The two best Big Ten teams! ...Outside of Purdue. And Ohio State. But other than that!
Georgetown Hoyas @ Seton Hall Pirates -- ESPN3.com, 6 PM -- The Hoyas will try to continue to re-boost their record after three straight losses against teams that are actually good.
Tennessee Volunteers @ Georgia Bulldogs -- ESPNU, 6 PM -- I'd say Bruce Pearl can guide the Vols through this, but I'm pretty sure the NCAA won't let him.
Kentucky Wildcats @ Alabama Crimson Tide -- ESPN , 8 PM -- Terrence Jones makes an intriguing Rockets draft follow.
Clemson Tigers @ North Carolina Tar Heels -- ESPN3.com, 7 PM -- Eight game winning streak on the line for Demontez Stiff and company as they take on Harrison Barnes at Chapel Hill.
Michigan Wolverines @ Northwestern Wildcats -- Big 10 Network, 8 PM -- Tim Hardaway is back! In Michigan form! But can he handle the awesome name that is JerShonn Cobb?
Colorado Buffalos @ Nebraska Cornhuskers -- ESPN2, 6 PM -- Hey, it's two more Big Ten teams! Not the good ones!
Texas Tech Red Raiders @ Oklahoma Sooners -- ESPN3.com, 7 PM -- The wrecked ashes of Bobby Knight and Kelvin Sampson will try to figure out which one of them has a second round conference tourney appearance in them.
Maine Black Bears @ Vermont Catamounts -- ESPN3.com, 6:30 PM -- One of the few public mourning places for the Northeast after the Patriots' loss on Sunday.
DePaul Blue Demons @ Marquette Golden Eagles -- ESPNU, 8 PM -- DePaul is projected to go 2-16 in the Big East conference. Yikes.
Tennis
Australian Open -- ESPN2, 7 PM -- This'll go on for awhile. I would suggest not watching the Kim Clijsters - Dinara Safina match. Unless you like bloodbaths.
Football
MLS Supplemental Draft -- (Untelevised), 1 PM -- The Dynamo hold picks #7, #25, and #43. You can follow live on MLS.com, and here are some of the better available players
Manchester City vs. Leicester City -- Fox Soccer Channel, 1:45 PM -- And while you're following that, you can check out which London city is the better city.
Sevilla vs. Villareal, Leg 2 -- ESPN3.com, 3 PM -- If they need a third leg, I hear Greg Oden isn't doing anything..
