What's On Television Today: January 2nd, 2011

*sniff*

It's your last full slate of NFL games. We'll be saying goodbye to so many teams today. Notably your Houston Texans, who sucked this year. So I guess it's not that bad of a thing that we'll be saying goodbye to them. Or maybe it is, who knows. We'll find out in May when we all want some football again, I reckon. Anyway, last lineup, go forth!

So long
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns -- 12 PM, CBS -- Pittsburgh is trying to clinch home-field advantage and a bye in the first round. The Browns are trying to clinch a higher draft spot. It should be a barn-burner!
St. Louis Rams @ Seattle Seahawks -- 7:20 PM, NBC -- Hey, somebody has to go to the playoffs. We can't just hold a five team bracket!
Houston Rockets @ Portland Trail Blazers -- 8 PM, Fox Sports Houston -- Not only is this a good test for the Rockets, but the Blazers are currently a half game ahead of them in the chase for the eighth spot in the West. As good a game as you could hope to see in January between two decimated teams.

Farewell
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Houston Texans -- 3:15 PM, CBS -- I reckon one of these teams has to win, although I think their healthy injury report players could probably make a better team that what either of them could run out on the field.
Carolina Panthers @ Atlanta Falcons - 12 PM, FOX -- Ever since I was a kid, I've loved the (mouth covered by beer glass) Atlanta Falcons.

auf Wiedersehen
College Basketball: Gonzaga Bulldogs @ Wake Forest Demon Deacons -- How many halfcourt shots can John Stockton's son make in this game?
