While the football loving country waits for Super Bowl XLV two Sundays from now, its collective attention will turn to the 2011 Pro Bowl, to be played at 7:00 p.m. EST this Sunday at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. Sure, the Pro Bowl is generally not thought of as nearly the entertainment spectacle as is the NBA or MLB All Star games. But for fans of the 30 teams that aren't involved in the Super Bowl, it's at least one final opportunity to see their favorite players suit up before the long offseason sets in.
The Houston Texans had three players named to the Pro Bowl this season, but only two will take the field. The two participants are RB Arian Foster, who will start in the backfield for the AFC, and his fullback, Vonta Leach, who paved the way for Foster's breakthrough All-Pro season. Super star wide receiver Andre Johnson will not make an appearance due to injury.
