Poor, poor Missouri.
↵The Tigers were jilted last season with this whole conference realignment movement. Heck, they started all the talk last year by threatening to leave, giving Nebraska and Colorado a reason to do so and then got left out of the movement.
↵This year, Texas A&M bolted for the SEC and Mizzou appears to be left out again. They could still leave, but it wouldn't be for next year right now. It'd be for 2013 at the earliest. They also might stay in the Big 12, but that decision will go along way to determining whether the Big 12 expands back to 12 teams or not.
↵I never thought of Missouri as a power team, but they make some sense to join the SEC. They'd be a balance for Texas A&M and give their new conference a chance to add two teams to the East and create a super conference. However, I'm not so sure Mizzou is as attractive as they think they are. Frankly, I'm still surprised that A&M got in there, even though I know the reasons why the SEC did it (Texas recruiting, TV market).
↵Missouri is not going to be a leader in the Big 12, but if it can't get into the SEC or Big Ten, it may be better off staying in the Big 12 and helping them add two more schools.
