The AFC-South leading Houston Texans(4-3) have jumped from No. 17 in last weeks' ESPN Power Rankings to No. 12 this week. The Texans bounced back in a big way this week after back-to-back losses to the Oakland Raiders and Baltimore Ravens, the Texans beat the Tennessee Titans in convincing fashion with a 41-7 victory on Sunday.
The Texans have winnable games over the next two weeks with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns coming to town. The Texans have nine games remaining on their schedule this season and only three of those games are against teams that currently have a winning record. That would be games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-3), Atlanta Falcons (4-3) and Cincinnati Bengals (4-2).
The Texans are the favorites to win the division at this point and with the beat down of the Titans this past weekend and the continued struggles of the Colts, they control their own destiny to claim the division this season.
