Texas A&M Vs. Texas Tech: Aggies, Red Raiders Score On Opening Drive, Game Tied At 7-7

Texas A&M scored quickly on their first drive and it was led by quarterback Ryan Tannehill on the Aggies opening drive. Tannehill went 2-for-3 for 50 yards and rushed for 33 yards including the 19 yard run that led to the quick score. The entirety of the drive went seven plays for 83 yards and Tannehill had his hand in all of those yards.

Not to be outdone, the Texas Tech Raiders drove done easily against the Texas A&M defense. Quarterback Seth Doege went 5-for-8 passing for 43 yards on that opening drive.

On the 13 play drive, Texas Tech needed to complete a fourth-and-one by running back Eric Stephens who took the shotgun snap to gain the one yard needed to get the first down and keep the drive alive. Doege finished the drive by completing a two-yard touchdown run to Adam James to tie the game at seven apiece.
