Houston Vs. Oklahoma Final Score: Sooners Defeat Cougars 79-74

The Houston Cougars were looking to pull off the upset against the Oklahoma Sooners, but they ultimately fell short. These two teams went back and forth through out the game changing leads with the largest lead belonging to Houston who led by nine points early in the second half which came at the conclusion of a 12-0 run by Houston.

Houston's last lead in the game came at the 5:09 mark and were ahead 67-65, but were then outscored 14-7 by Oklahoma the rest of the way.

The difference in this game was the disparity in free throw attempts between Houston and Oklahoma; Houston attempted only seven free throws to Oklahoma's 24.

The leading scorer on the night was Oklahoma's Steven Pledger had 31 points on the night by shooting 10 for 13 from the field, including making four of five from three-point range. Houston had three players in double figures and were led by Jonathon Simmons who scored 20 points on the night.
