For the Houston Texans, some could attest their success could be attributed to phenomenal game planning, quarterback T.J. Yates playing over his head and the defense playing lights out. Yet, when any of those three keys begin to fail then the entire organization can begin to crumble.
The Carolina Panthers have jumped out to a 21-0 lead at the half versus the Texans, as Cam Newton has thrown for two touchdown passes and Carolina has been in control throughout the game thus far.
T.J. Yates threw only his second interception of the season, which lead to a Panthers touchdown. Arian Foster fumbled for the third time this season, which lead to a Panthers touchdown. Wade Phillips' impact on the Texans defense is sorely missed as the Panthers have marched up and down the field with ease. Phillips is in stable condition after undergoing surgery on his kidney and gall bladder and will be sidelined for 7-10 weeks.
Carolina will receive the ball in the second half, as the Texans will try to figure out how to win their 11th game of the season down 21 points. Here is the video of Jeremy Shockey 9-yard touchdown in the second quarter from Cam Newton.
