According to Fox 26 Sports in Houston, free agent center Chuck Hayes has five teams interested in utilizing his services, including the Houston Rockets said agent Calvin Andrews on Thursday.
According to Andrews, the Portland Trailblazers, Toronto Raptors, Sacramento Kings and Minnesota Timberwolves will be joining the Rockets to lockup the 28 year old big man out of Kentucky for next season, though Andrews did mention he had two separate conversations with Rockets GM Daryl Morey and expected to have another at some point that day.
Andrews mentioned that there is no frontrunner at this point in the discussion, though some talks but talks have been rather serious already. Here's his take on his game plan moving forward with Hayes:
"Take final offers and make a decision," Andrews said. "I can see us having an idea what he wants to do in the next 48 hours."
Free agents are unable to sign contracts until Dec. 9.
