What to watch while you're trying not to have a nervous breakdown....
Local
-Philadelphia 76ers @ Houston Rockets -- 7:30 PM, FS Houston -- Five days of rest for the Rockets after today. Although the way they've been playing lately, it might be better to count one of their quarters tonight as rest time too.
-SMU Mustangs @ Houston Cougars -- 7 PM, Untelevised -- But go to Hofheinz anyway, it probably can't be worse than the Rockets-76ers game. Can it?
-Rice Owls @ Marshall Thundering Herd -- 6 PM, Untelevised -- I expect to see a loud Rice student section at this game. Well, no, I expect to hear about it!
-Oklahoma St. Cowboys @ Texas Longhorns -- 8 PM, ESPN2 -- I suppose Texas still isn't #1, somehow. I was confused by the scoreboard.
-Iowa St. Cyclones @ Texas A&M Aggies -- 7 PM, ESPN3.com -- That other big Texas team survived a scare in Colorado last week, but now they'll come face-to-face with another little brother school. In a battle that should be fairly easy.
NBA
-Denver Nuggets @ Milwaukee Bucks -- 8 PM, ESPN -- You almost get the sense Carmelo Anthony is involved in some sort of storyline.
NHL
-Minnesota Wild @ Chicago Blackhawks -- 7 PM, Versus -- The Houston Aeros' NHL affiliate takes on the defending Stanley Cup Champions. Except this year they aren't that good, so that's sort of a buzzkill.
-Dallas Stars @ Calgary Flames -- 8:30 PM, FS Southwest -- Saying that the Flames are on a Hot streak is a good way to get fired from my headline writing job, right? Oh nevermind, I just realized that companies actually like that hackneyed crap.
Football
-UEFA Champions League: Arsenal vs. Barcelona -- 1:30 PM, Fox Soccer Channel -- Odds are you were already watching this if you wanted to.
-UEFA Champions League: Roma vs. Shakhtar Dontesk -- 1:30 PM, FS Southwest + -- Reminds me of Moskau. I hope it's that cool on the field.
College Basketball
-Wisconsin Badgers @ Purdue Boilermakers -- 6 PM, Big Ten Network -- Not so tough when you're away from home, are you Badgers? Lets see how that works out for you tonight.
-Georgetown Hoyas @ Connecticut Huskies -- 6 PM, ESPN3.com -- Thus continues ESPN's streak of putting the wrong games on national TV.
-Louisville Cardinals @ Cincinnati Bearcats -- 6 PM, ESPN2 -- I liked this game better when Bob Huggins was coaching a team of thugs.
-Vanderbilt Commodores @ Georgia Bulldogs -- 6 PM, ESPNU -- Festus Ezeli is here to grab a lot of rebounds and have a funky name. What has Georgia ever given us?
-UAB Blazers @ Memphis Tigers -- 6 PM, CBS College Sports -- The real showdown in CUSA tonight. Well, as real as anything in CUSA can be.
-Michigan Wolverines @ Illinois Fighting Illini -- 8:30, Big Ten Network -- The classic battle of two teams struggling to keep their #11 seeds alive.
-Nebraska Cornhuskers @ Oklahoma Sooners -- 8 PM, ESPNU -- Too bad this isn't football season.
-Duke Blue Devils @ Virginia Cavaliers -- 6 PM, ESPN -- This game will also have a "Nolan Smith" camera on ESPN3.com. I'm shocked that ESPN is pulling out all the stops for Duke! Shocked!
-South Carolina Gamecocks @ Tennessee Volunteers -- 6 PM, ESPN3.com -- Now that Bruce Pearl is back, this game will be much better. I'm sorry, did I say better? I meant tanner.
-Loyola of Chicago Ramblers @ Ill.-Chicago Flames -- 7 PM, ESPN3.com -- Andy Polka! Robo Creps! I'm not making either of these names up!
-Pepperdine Waves @ Loyola Marymount Lions -- 10 PM, ESPNU -- The better of two bad late night West Coast games.
-Eastern Michigan Eagles @ Central Michigan Chippewas -- 6:30 PM, ESPN3.com -- After tonights game, one of these two teams will no longer be 7-17. But they still have to live in Michigan regardless.
-South Florida Bulls @ Pittsburgh Panthers -- 6 PM, ESPN3.com -- Being bad in the Big East is a tale of sadness, and that tale has drowned the Bulls.
-Illinois St. Redbirds @ Creighton Bluejays -- 7 PM, ESPN3.com -- If you've ever wanted to see Doug McDermott score 25 points, this is the game for you.
-Auburn Tigers @ Mississippi Rebels -- 7 PM, ESPN3.com -- When will ESPN learn that Auburn should never be televised? In basketball. Chris Porter isn't walking through that door.
-St. Mary's, Calif. Gaels @ San Diego Toreros -- 10 PM, ESPN2-- Prepare to be gored, San Diego.
-Montana Western @ Utah State Aggies -- 8 PM, CBS College Sports -- No idea why CBS wanted to watch Utah St kick the crap out of a Division II school, but here we are.
