Warriors Head Coach Keith Smart complemented the Rockets after last night's game.
↵Post game compliments are nothing new. In fact, we've heard them all before: "They really deserved this win" or "They just came out and beat us" or "You just gotta give it to 'em" are common follow-up quotes you'll find rather often.
↵But Smart's comments really struck me:
↵↵↵"Houston plays as a team without any egos. Houston doesn't care about scoring. They are all about team.''
↵
And Smart is right. No, the Rockets don't just play one-on-one. No, they don't go into every game saying, "Oh, Kevin Martin's gotta get X amount of shots tonight".
↵Maybe that's because they don't have a true star. Or maybe they're just very well coached. Or maybe, just maybe, it shows how good of a team the Rockets really are.
↵I used to think that was a good enough selling point for NBA players and free agents. You know, going to a good team and all, especially now-a-days where NBA stars basically are free agents. But it's funny to see NBA players opt for markets where they can sell shoes instead of play on an actual basketball team.
↵Basketball is a team sport the last time I checked, and though the Rockets don't yet have the player to support a championship team, at least they play like one.
