- New England is starting the game in a 5-3-2 formation, which could be difficult for Houston to break down. Against the Union, the Dynamo struggled to break down and stout defense, and tonight could have the same problems.
- Corey Ashe starts the game at left back for the third game in a row. Coach Kinnear obviously has confidence in Ashe, and, so far, Ashe has performed well.
