Final: Dynamo Manage Scrappy Win, Beat New England 1-0

It wasn’t pretty, and it wasn’t easy, but the Dynamo improved to 2-1-2 on the season after beating the New England Revolution 1-0.

The Dynamo dominated the game and had a number of chances, but left it late before managing to get the winning goal.

The forward tandem of Will Bruin and Cam Weaver proved successful again for Houston as the pair managed to create a number of chances on goal.

Houston appeared to score a goal early in the second half after the ball ping-ponged around the box before Cam Weaver’s shot crossed the line. Referee Alex Prus looked to his linesman before waving the goal off, claiming it did not cross the line. Replays shown at the stadium indicated that the ball did cross the line and Houston should have been awarded with a goal.

Late in the match it looked like Houston were going to only manage a draw, but defender Hunter Freeman managed to score with just minutes left after tapping in a goal after a corner kick scrum. Cam Weaver set up Freeman after his header smashed the crossbar and ricocheted into Freeman, before finding the back of the net.

Houston now have a win-streak after picking up wins against the Vancouver Whitecaps and now the New England Revolution.
