Full Time: Dynamo Draw Red Bulls At One All

The Houston Dynamo drew their second game in a row after tying the New York Red Bulls at one goal apiece.

Tally Hall had another man-of-the-match performance against the Red Bulls and was only beaten by Dane Richards early in the second half. Cam Weaver, who came on for an injured Brian Ching, leveled for the Dynamo just three minutes after Richards’ goal, saving a point for Houston.

The game was end-to-end most of the 90 minutes, and both teams came up with a number of chances. The best chance of the first half went to Brian Ching whose shot hit the crossbar after a Geoff Cameron flick-on following a Brad Davis free kick.

The Red Bulls had the better of the chances in the second half, but Dynamo goalkeeper continued to be a brick wall, coming up huge on a few chances for Houston.

The big news of the night for Dynamo fans was the departure of Brian Ching, who left the game late in the first half with what appeared to be a rib injury following a challenge with Red Bulls goalkeeper Buona Coundoul. Cam Weaver came on for Ching, but the Dynamo attack looked much better with the veteran captain on the pitch.

Dynamo coaches and fans should be happy drawing with such a tough opponent on the road. The only downside to the night was Ching’s injury, and no information on his status is available at this time.
