Thus far, the Aeros have been able to dictate their pace and style against the Binghamton Senators, and it has them just two wins away from the Calder Cup Finals. The Aeros defensive formations and trapping have been able to hold the Senators back from their high-scoring style, and all three games have ended with four total goals or less. Houston was able to jump on top of the Sens with a Jon DiSalvatore putback in the first, and after dominating the run of play in the second period, Nate Prosser was able to find the back of the net in the midst of a scramble to give the Aeros a 2-0 lead.
↵Binghamton got on the board via the power play in the early third, and Houston was able to withstand a barrage of shots in the last few minutes to hold on for the 2-1 victory. Game Four will happen on Friday night, and Game Five will take place on Saturday. At the very least, the Aeros have assured themselves that they'll play the deciding games at the Toyota Center. As long as they are able to keep managing the style of the games to match how they play, they should be able to keep Binghamton under relative wraps.
