Aeros Lose 3-0, Knotting Calder Cup Finals at 2-2 With Binghamton

The feel of the 2011 Calder Cup Finals shifted significantly on Friday night. The Binghamton Senators played a frenzied, dominating brand of hockey against the Houston Aeros that served to ensure this would be a long series.

In their sold-out building, the Senators jumped out to a first period 2-0 lead, and never let up on the Aeros on the way to a 3-0 victory, tying the series at two games apiece. The Senators played with an air of desperation, knowing full well that they could all but kiss their Cup Dreams goodbye had they gone down to Houston 3-1.

AHL regular season MVP Corey Locke and Cody Bass each notched a goal in the first. Binghamton out shot Houston in the first 20 minutes to the tune of 18-8. The Senators defense took care of the rest, seemingly with ease.

Game five takes place Saturday in Binghamton. The puck drops at 6:05 CST. Unfortunately, you must be a Comcast customer if you want to watch the game on TV, where it will be shown on Comcast 110.
