Titans Week 17 Inactive List: RB Chris Johnson Is Active

The Tennessee Titans are in a must-win situation if they want to make it into the playoffs, plus they will need major help from other teams to make the playoffs. So, the Titans will have all hands on deck today against the Houston Texans who are in the complete opposite scenario. This game means nothing to them toward the playoffs as they are locked into the No. 3 seed regardless.

Starting running back Chris Johnson was listed as questionable on the Titans injury report with an ankle injury, but he is going to be active for today's game. While the Titans needed Johnson to suit up to play against the stout Texans defense to have a chance to win. Johnson may have insisted on playing since his contract has an incentive if he reaches 1,000 yards and he currently sits at 986 yard this year.

The injury reports during the week had everyone believe that the Titans were healthy coming into this game, but they are going to be down seven players. However, none of those seven players are starters and only a few are even backups.

Tennessee Titans inactives:

• Quarterback Rusty Smith
• Fullback Quinn Johnson
• Tackle Byron Stingily
• Center/guard Kevin Matthews
• Defensive end Jason Jones
• Defensive tackle Shaun Smith
• Linebacker Gerald McRath
